šŸ“… February 2026: ā€œInspiring the Next Generation — Introduction to Dronesā€

February is dedicated to engaging young people through hands-on drone education, designed to spark curiosity and introduce them to the rapidly expanding world of remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS). This introductory program focuses on building foundational knowledge—covering basic flight principles, safety, airspace awareness, and responsible drone operation.

The goal goes beyond simply flying a drone. By demonstrating real-world applications— from emergency services and environmental monitoring to media production and engineering— we aim to broaden horizons and show how drone technology connects to future career pathways. Participants gain insight into what it takes to progress toward achieving their Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) and potentially advancing even further into commercial or specialised drone operations.

Safety and structured learning remain central. Students are introduced to regulatory frameworks, operational checklists, and practical risk assessment—laying the groundwork for disciplined aviation thinking. By combining technical skills with mentorship and real-world examples, we hope to cultivate confidence, responsibility, and ambition in the next generation of drone professionals.
