📅 June 2026: “Droneworks Goes Underwater”
In June 2026, Droneworks officially expanded underwater for the first time using advanced ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) drone technology designed for marine inspection, scientific observation, and underwater imaging. These systems allow high-definition video capture beneath the surface while operating safely in environments that are difficult or dangerous for divers to access. Beyond infrastructure inspections, underwater drones are becoming valuable tools for observing marine ecosystems, tracking environmental changes, documenting reef conditions, and monitoring aquatic activity with minimal disturbance to wildlife.
Underwater drones can support a wide range of marine and scientific applications including reef surveys, fish population monitoring, sediment and water condition assessments, marine habitat observation, dam and reservoir inspections, bridge and jetty analysis, hull inspections, and underwater search operations. By expanding below the surface, Droneworks is now able to combine aerial and underwater technologies to capture a more complete picture of Australia’s natural and built environments — from the sky above to the ecosystems hidden beneath the waterline.
